I have worked in IT for about 10 years, half in application support and the most recent half in general systems admin/1st/2nd line Support. So if you've some record of such name in your name resolution for selected undisclosed NIC, this does not need to be a contradiction. And I don't know which NIC you selected nor what you have configured for name resolution. You configure WireShark which NIC to listen to.
